Goa Drugs Committee Gets Crucial Evidences

Panaji, Sep 15 (IBNS): The House Committee of the Goa Legislative Assembly on Friday claimed to have uncovered crucial evidences into the police-politician-drug mafia nexus.

“Whoever was smuggling out drugs from the government coffers will be exposed… Everyone involved in the nexus will be exposed,” Committee head and independent legislator from Nuvem constituency Francisco Pacheco told reporters.

The Crime Branch, which earlier investigated the lethal nexus, has submitted nearly 10 boxes filled with 10,000 investigation papers to the committee.

Claiming to have laid their hands on some vital clues, Pacheco said all papers would be scrutinized.

Besides investigating the two Israeli nationals David Driham alias Dudu, Yaniv Benaim alias Atata and more than a dozen suspended policemen, former Home Minister Ravi Naik’s son Roy is also being probed.
