Kasargod: Bekal Police Seize Two Kg of Ganja, Arrest Duo

Kasargod, Sep 11: Acting on a tip off, Bekal police under guidance of sub-inspector Uttham Das on Tuesday September 11 conducted a raid and seized two kg of ganja, an auto rickshaw and Rs 4,000 in cash, and succeeded in arresting two persons.
The police team raided a spot near a petrol bunk in Pallikere under Bekal police station limits in Kasargod district, and found two persons with ganja in an auto rickshaw. The ganja was to be reportedly sold in Kanhagad.
The arrested are identified as Abdul Nasar (39), resident of Melparamba Kainothu and Mohammed Ashraf (32) of Kumble Pathadka.
It is learnt that Abdul Nasar was earlier arrested by Kasargod police in a ganja peddling case. Mohammed Ashraf is an auto driver by profession.
Police are interrogating the arrested and they will be produced before the Hosadurga court on Wednesday September 12.
