Kabul, Sep 8 (IANS): Six people were killed Saturday in a massive blast in the Afghan capital Kabul, an eyewitness said.
"I saw some six bodies on the ground, mostly civilians, but I cannot say if the blast was a suicide bombing or rocket attack," Mohammad Jamil told Xinhua.
The explosion took place at 11.30 a.m. in Shashdarak area, a neighbourhood close to ISAF headquarters and US embassy.
A police official who declined to give his name said it was a rocket attack which slammed into Shashdarak area.
The blast coincided with the event to mark the 11th martyrdom anniversary of late resistance leader and national hero Ahmad Shah Masoud amid tight security.
