Pisa, Sep 7 (IANS/AKI): A town in northern Italy has set aside land for dead people to be buried along with their deceased beloved furry friends.
Italian cemeteries generally do not allow animals to be buried with their dead owners.
This means the cemetery in Fauglia near Pisa will probably be the first to let pets lie at rest for eternity with their dead owners.
Fauglia mayor Carlo Carli told the La Nazione newspaper that the local government is discussing the initiative and that a citizen has donated around three hectares to open the so-called mixed graveyard.
