Mangalore: Home Stay Attack - Court Denies Bail to Three More Accused

Mangalore, Sep 1: The first additional district and sessions court on Friday August 31 denied bail to three more accused in the Padil home stay attack.

Judge J D Narasimha Murthy, rejected the bail applications of Sandeep Shetty, Taranath Shetty and Venugopal.

So far, 24 people have been arrested in connection with the July 28 attack on youngsters at Padil's Morning Mist Home stay. All of them are in judicial custody.

Earlier on August 28, bail applications of 17 accused were rejected.

Prosecutor Manjunath V Bhat defended the case on behalf of the government.

The investigation of the case is being carried out by T R Jagannath, ACP of south division.

    I strongly feel DW can do some justice by publishing details of these 3 accused with their photographs too.

    My sincere gratitude to all the (sincere) officials and judges who are handling this issue in a positive manner.

    Mr. TR Jaganath ACP , for the sake of our childrens safety in Mangalore, please don't surrender to the communal leaders pressure.
    These criminals deserve to stay in the jail forever.

    Jail Stay for Home stay attack boys. This prosecution should deter the others. The successful prosecution at Gujarat has sent shock ripples across saffron parivar. law of the land should be respected.

    Very good lesson to the bad people of civil society.There are people in social sites like Facebook who support the attack with slogans like birthday yenna akodchi anna and with photos of victims with slogans like is it our culture? are we in India or west and so on.I want to ask these hypocrats Are you partying with alcohol?.Is it toddy or foreign liquer? Who is running dance bars and prostitution in hotels and pubs?Is it your culture? You must learn from the recent verdict on Godhra that law will catchup with everyone sooner than later.Dont think you will have your time forever.
