Mangalore, Aug 29 : Mangalore police have arrested two more men accused in Padil Home Stay attack on Monday, August 27 evening. The arrested have been identified as Puneeth and Dinesh. Both the accused have been sent to judicial custody.
With the arrest of these two, the number of arrested in Morning Mist Home stay attack case have risen to 24 so far.
Police are on the lookout for two more accused who are still absconding or missing sources informed Daijiworld.
Meantime, the district and sessions court on Tuesday rejected the bail applications of 17 accused involved in the attack.
Though 20 persons had filed bail pleas, only 17 applications came up for hearing on Tuesday and the judge rejected all the 17. They include Sharath, Taranath Kannur, Rajesh, Chethan, Sunil, Harish, Shailesh, Puneeth, Varun Poojary, Kiran Poojary, Suresh Poojary, Mithun Poojary, Sampath, Deepak, Ramesh Kotian, Jagadeesh and Nithin.
The hearing on the bail pleas of the remaining three will be taken up on August 31. Though 22 people were arrested in connection with the attack, two, including the prime accused Subash Padil, had not filed bail pleas.
