Kundapur, Aug 27: B Y Raghavendra Member of Parliament from Shimoga Lok Sabha constituency, son of B S Yeddyurappa, former CM of Karnataka addressed a press meet which was conducted at Blue Water Kundapur at 12pm.
Before the press meet he had met former Kundapur MLA Halady Srinivas Shetty.
Asked about his meeting with Halady Srinivas Shetty, he mentioned that it was his third meeting. The earlier two meets were long with his father BS Yeddyurappa.
"Halady never had greed for any posts..."
" I regret for Halady’s resignation, but I am sure that he will remain in BJP. He has done lot of hard work to build the party in this region." he said
Talking on other issues "Karnataka state is facing a tense drought situation. In Byndoor alone, according to the political leaders the drought has incurred around 7.5 crores losses in Agriculture, The Karnataka government has waived a 3500 crores agriculture loan on farmers, If the central government gives the required support to farmers and waives the loan from national bank for at least 2 lacs,it will help farmers and the state." he said
To resolve the problem of drinking water, he said that in Byndoor many projects have been undertaken, for example from the river Kosalle water is being distributed to four different panchayat which costs around Rs 27 crores.
From Soparnika river water supply to Naada and Senapura Grama, its costs around 15 crores.
The MP also said that he will work towards road development , electricity supply and drinking water. The Gun-door bridge and road project will begin in one and half months, this will help farmers for agriculture.
MLA Laxminarayan from Byndoor, Shankar Shetty president Taluk panchayat, Pranay Kumar Shetty president Byndoor BJP, Kishore Kumar president Kundapur BJP were among those present at the press meet.
