Mangalore, Aug 22: The family members of one of the top most Konkani novelists, the late Apollo Thomas Lobo, popularly known as A T Lobo, have come together to launch a foundation in the writer's name.
The launching ceremony will be held at the Sahodaya Hall, near Shanti Nilaya, Balmatta at 6:00 pm on August 29. Fr Mark Walder, ex-editor, Raknno, Konkani Weekly has agreed to preside over the function. All Konkani enthusiasts and A T Lobo's fans are invited to attend this function.
The main objective of the foundation is to publish books that are unavailable and hence make all A T Lobo's literary works easily accessible to the public. They also want to enact his plays and popularize them.
Some of his works are not available anywhere and the Foundation members have requested the Konkani people to help them trace these works.
The Foundation is looking out for the plays - Amchim Bhurgim, Ashechi Disha, Ixtt, Mhojo Bhav Tacho Dubhav and Festak Pavullo Soiro. Novels that they are searching for are Jeral Modorn, Shinvthem, Tuka Dusro Melltolo, Fonddar Fulam, Bhiyachi Kool and Paschattap.
