Mangalore: Credai to Host 'Statecon-2012' Convention on Aug 25, 26

Mangalore, Aug 21: K C Naik, founder secretary and former president of Credai, said on Tuesday August 21 that the second Karnataka State Credai Convention, ‘Statecon 2012’, at TMA Pai Convention Hall on August 25 and 26.
Addressing the media at Hotel Deepa Comforts here, he said that the convention will be of state importance and of visibility with developers from all over Karnataka, with engineers, architects and government officials concerned.
The two-day convention will include panel discussions by international speakers on affordable housing, green sustainable development, skill development and single window clearance, he said.
P M A Razak, president, said that the convention will be based on the theme ‘House for All’ and that they are expecting partcipation by around 1,500 delegates. "As many as 45 different stalls will be showcased during the convention. The convention will give more importance on low income families," he added.
Razak said Credai and the government have planned a conjoined effort to set up housing surplus by 2020. "While the government will supply the funds and the land, Credai will work for the development. The government will provide infrastructure such as roads, drainage systems and so on. The houses will be fixed at a low price as these are being planned for middle class sections of the society," he said.
The convention will be inaugurated by chief minister Jagadish Shettar. The two-day real estate exhibition will be inaugurated by deputy chief minister K S Eshwarappa. Several other ministers will also be present on the occasion.
Pushparaj Jain, honorary secretary, William D’Souza, vice-chairman, Rohan Monteiro, Felix Albuquerque, honorary treasurer, Titus Noronha among others were present.
