New Delhi, Aug 20 (PTI): The Delhi Police on Sunday took former Haryana minister Gopal Kanda, arrested in connection with the suicide of his former employee Geetika Sharma, to his house and office in Gurgaon and seized documents and computers from the premises.
The police team returned from Gurgaon to Bharat Nagar police station at 5 pm. Kanda, who has been sent to police custody for seven days, was taken to the office of his now-defunct MDLR Airlines for a three-hour search, during which computer server, hard disks and three hardcopy files were seized.
He was then taken to his house in Civil Lines, before being brought back to Delhi.
Investigators will also collect Kanda’s DNA and semen samples. The police said Kanda was not cooperating with them.

A post-mortem conducted by a joint team of four doctors from Maulana Azad Medical College and Lok Nayak Hospital suggested that “Geetika frequently had sex”.
“Sealed samples of vaginal and anal swabs along with slides were preserved for semen and DNA profiling and were handed over to the police,” the report said.
The police are also looking for Kanda’s another employee, Ankita Singh, whose name figured in Geetika’s two-page suicide note. Ankita had told Geetika’s parents about the link between their daughter and Kanda.
Ankita, a resident of Satna in Madhya Pradesh, was a dancer and was spotted by Kanda when she went to his farmhouse in Gurgaon for a performance. Kanda later gave her a job.
