Mumbai: Seva Dal Members of Billawar Association Honoured

Mumbai, Aug 18: Seva Dal leaders of Billawar association organized an annual programme at Billawa Bhavan in Santacruz (East) on Wednesday August 15.

L V Amin, president hoisted the tricolor and presided over the programme. Shankar K Suvarna, congress leader was the chief guest.

On the occasion, Jaya C Suvarna, lifetime honorary president, Shankar D Poojary, secretary of Seva Dal along with Ganesh Poojary honored the Seva Dal members Praveep C Poojary, Suchitra P Poojary, Sudharshan Poojary, Vijayalaxmi Poojary, Sadanand Poojary and Asha P Salian with a shawl and a memento.

Speaking on the occasion, Shankar K Suvarna said that it is the duty of every citizen to show respect towards the nation. Freedom fighters were remembered during the occasion.

“Our Seva Dal members have been a role model through its continuous operations which is commendable”, said Jaya C Suvarna.

L V Amin in his presidential address said, it is important to celebrate Independence Day to remember the freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives for the nation.

On the occasion condolence was offered to Late Vilasrao Deshmukh, former chief minister who had inaugurated Billawa Bhavan.

Jyothi K Suvarna, chief secretary compered and Ganesh K Poojary delivered the vote of thanks.

Vice-president’s CT Salian, Bhaskar M Salian, Bhaskar V Banghera, chief treasurer, Shakunthal K Kotian, among others shared the dais.
