Zafrulla Khan Appointed JD(S) National General Secretary

Bangalore/Dubai, Aug 12: Mohammed Zafrulla Khan, a hotelier well-known in Dubai and Bangalore, has been appointed national general secretary of JD(S).

The appointment was made by former Prime Minister and JD(S) national president Deve Gowda.

A native of Mandya, Zafrulla Khan is the incumbent president of Ghousia Educational Trust, chief patron of Vishwa Okkaligara Maha Sanstan in Mandya, and patron of various organizations in the UAE.

He is the recepient of several honours and awards, including 'Rashtriya Nehru Prashasti (2005) and Kuvempu Vishwa Manava Prashasti' (2011).

He joined JD (S) at the party's Muslim convention held in Bangalore recently.
