Bantwal: 'Mosaru Kudike' Festivities Bathed in Splashes of Colour

Bantwal, Aug 10: The 60th 'Mosaru Kudike' festivities were organized in a grand manner at Kalladka here on Friday August 10, as part of the Krishna Janamshtami celebrations, under the aegis of Kalladka Sri Rama Temple.
Tableaux, music bands, 'chende', baby Krishnas, bhajan teams etc added colour to the procession that was taken across the main roads of Kalladka.
Kalladka Shilpa Gombe Balaga’s 'Kodagina Kaveri', Sarvashreshta Friends club’s 'Varuna Yaga, Trishul Friends’ anti-child labour campaign, Om Shakti Friends’ 'Sapthagiri Vasa, Nethaji Youth organization’s 'Sri Devi Shambavi Mahatme', Manikanta Yuvshakti’s 'Vivekananda', Ladies chende sets and band sets were part of the procession that attracted a large number of people.
The procession began in the afternoon with the reciting of bhajans and later concluded with 'Krishna Loka', formal stage programme and climbing an arecanut tree where the prize was be tied to its top.
Temple president K Chennappa Kotian, secretary K Krishnappa, Kalladka Sri Rama Educational Trust convenor Dr Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat, former MLA Padmanabh Kottari, A Rukhmaya Poojary, Narayana Somayaji, Jeethendra Kottari and many other dignitaries also took part in the procession.
A group of youngsters enthusiatically took part in the ceremony of breaking the pots that were tied all along the procession route. A large number of devotees took part in this procession and sought divine blessings.
