Kasargod: Police Arrest Three Inter-state Thieves, Seize Vehicles

Kasargod, Aug 10: Police on Thursday August 9 arrested three people in connection with an inter-state vehicle theft racket.
The arrested have been identified as Karim (22) from Shiribagil in Manjathadka, Amir (22) from Kukkar Mubarak Munjil and Shamsuddin (34) from Thalangare.
Police have seized two bikes and a car from the thieves.
It is learnt that the thieves were arrested at the Chowki junction by circle inspector Baba Perinjiyath from Kasargod.
The police stopped a vehicle which was on its way towards the Chowki junction. On interrogation, it was discovered that the car was stolen from Padubidri.
Police sources say that the arrested were previously invoved in several theft cases in Kasargod, Kannur and Karnataka.
Amir is a member of CPI (M) Manjeshwar committee, and is accused of attempting to murder Abdul Razak a member of Paivalike gram panchayat. He is also involved in robbing cash and jewellery from P A Joseph, station master at Kumbla railway station. Karim has been booked for communal violence at town police station, informed the circle inspector.
