Mangalore: Prostitution Racket - BJP Leaders Among Arrested

Mangalore, Aug 6: It has now come to light that those arrested in the alleged prostitution racket were members of BJP, and two of them local leaders of the party.
Two of the men have been identified as Sandeep Shetty from Uppinangady and Dooraiah (40), and one of the women is Heena Dildar (40).
All are said to be members of BJP, and another woman among them is reportedly a local BJP leader. Sandeep Shetty too is a local leader of the party in Beltangady.
The police on Monday August 6 raided an apartment in Subhashnagar here and took seven persons into custody for allegedly indulging in prostitution.
Among those caught were four women and three men. All are said to be above 30 years. It is said that of the seven, the police let off four and arrested three. No case was filed against the woman leader.
It is said that police acted on complaints from the public and Hindu outfits and raided the apartment.
The incident took place at around 6 pm.
Pandeshwar police are investigating.
