New Delhi, Aug 3 (IANS): Two men stabbed and wounded an army junior commissioned officer's wife while trying to rob her house here, police said Friday.
The incident took place Thursday when Urmila Devi, 53, was alone in her Netaji Nagar house.
The men forcibly entered the house after asking for water. When the woman resisted them, one of the men knifed her, police said. But before they could rob the house, the doorbell rang and they fled.
Urmila Devi was rescued by her husband, Aibaran Singh, an army subedar. She is undergoing treatment at a hospital.
