St Agnes, St Aloysius Should Not have Supported Bandh: BJP Minority Unit

Mangalore, Aug 3: Karnataka state BJP minority unit has expessed its displeasure with the managements of St Aloysius College and St Agnes College for actively participating in the all-college bandh that was observed in the aftermath of Morning Mist incident.
"The college authorities did not raise a voice when atrocities were being carried out across the state and country, when Bangladeshi migrants were raping Indian women, more so targeting a Hindu woman in a recent incident in Assam, when PFI activists killed Sudhindra and his friend in Mysore for money, when former Indian President Abdul Kalam and former union defence minister Geroge Fernandes were subjected to security screening in United States of America, when two students committed suicides in their hostels," stated a press release from state BJP minority unit vice-president Franklin Monteiro.
"Inciting the students against Hindu outfits does not augur well for the colleges, and overshadows their image as institutions of repute," he stated.
"The college authorities had in the past taken disciplinary actions on students who supported Anna Hazare’s struggle against corruption," Monteiro pointed out, warning the managements of the two colleges that their actions might lead to a repeat of the 2008 attacks.
