Mangalore : Two College Girls End Lives in Separate Incidents

Mangalore / Beltangady, Jul 28 : Two young college students ended their lives on Friday July 27, once again raising questions on the temperament of young boys and girls in tackling personal or social issues.

Aishwarya Deepika, a 17-year-old PU student of Ujire SDM College committed suicide by hanging on Friday morning.

It is learnt that her neighbour Harshan Nair was forcing her into a love affair with him, and troubling her by sending SMS every day. Aishwarya, who did not like Harshan, reported the matter to her brother Deepak. Angered by Harshan's stubborn attitude, Deepak reportedly confronted him and asked him to stay away from his sister. Aishwarya's parents also warned Harshan not to trouble their daughter.

But Harshan reportedly attacked Deepak in public with the help of his friends. It is said that he even assaulted and abused his parents in public.

Aishwarya, who could not take the insult to her brother and parents, decided to end her life. Harsha is also a student.

Deepak is admitted to a hospital in Beltangady.

A case has been registered against Harshan for abetting the suicide and also for assault.
On the other hand, Harshan's family has filed a complaint against Deepak and his parents for assaulting Harshan.

Beltangady police are investigating the case. SDM College declared a holiday on Friday as a mark of respect on Aishwarya's demise.

In another case, a 20-year-old BBM student in the city committed suicide by hanging herself from the fan.

Sonial, daughter of Padmanabha Bhandary of Samrat Industry, Kaikamba, is the deceased.

She attended college on Friday. It is said that after coming back to her house located near Pompeii Church, she locked her door and hanged herself.

It is said that she was suffering from some eye problems.

    Very sad incidents.May their soul RIP.

    Respected readers, pls. dont comment like,kannadiga/marati/andrait,gujju,malayalee etc..hidnu/christian/mulsim.sikh etc.which would lead to divide our nation on cast/region/religion. Our hard fought independence from british by our ''great freedom fighters'' should not go waste.

    This is an impatient era, everything moves fast and people loose patient, When there was no mobile and even landlines people were waiting to get letter for a month. Now if someone dont pickup the call on mobile u get frustrated
    Most of the suicide cases happens because rapid modernization which caused to impatience in people's attitude.

    1. Present generations doesnt mingle with people, Most things happen in Facebook and mobiles. There will will be lots of expectation on unseen things but when it becomes reality, gets frustration and think of ending life.

    Life is full of problems, everyone is having problems, its just that one has to know how to handle the pressure and be more mental tough, Its sad incident where both girls end their lives by suicide, it shows that they have not put price on their life, what is the use of education they gained? are they deserve for that? are they fulfilling their parents desires?
    Life is to live and not to take, God has the only authority to call us whenever he needs us, The most important thing in life is not the triumph but the struggle. The essential thing is not to have conquered but to have fought well.The most important of life’s battles is the one we fight daily in the silent chambers of the soul. Life is God’s novel. Let him write it. May their soul rest in peace

    SO SAD NEWS AND VERY BAD INCIDENTS.MAIN REASON FOR THIS IS:

    1. LACK OF SUPPORT NETWORK, POOR RELATIONSHIP WITH PARENTS OR PEERS AND FEELINGS OF SOCIAL ISOLATION.

    2. MENTAL ILLNESS.

    3. STRESS

    4. DEPRESSION

    5. DISAPPOINTMENTS

    6. PARETNS AND FAMILY MEMEBERS FAILED TO TACKLE AND SOLVE THIS SMALL ISSUE.

    7. FAMILY MEMBERS COULDN'T UNDERSTAND GIRLS FEELINGS.

    I MUST APPRECIATE THESE GIRLS BRAVE, THEY ALERADY INFORMED THEIR FAMILY MEMBERS ALL THIS ISSUE. EVEN THOUGH IT WAS HAPPENED.

    BY KNOWING ALL THIS PROBLEM,FAMILY MEMBERS COULD HAVE RAISE THE COMPLAINT WITH COLLEGE AUTHORITY AND POLICE AGAINST THOSE BOYS. THEN THAT BOYS WILL NOT TROUBLE THESE GIRLS AND SUICIDE CHANCE WAS LESS. THEY COULD HAVE SAVE THEIR DAUGHTER.

    I MUST SUGGEST ALL PARETNS:

    1. PARENTS FAMILY MEMBERS MUST VISIT COLLEGE, SCHOOL ATLEAST ONCE IN A MONTH. THIS WILL GIVE THE CLEAR PICTURE OF THEIR KIDS.

    2.IF ANY PROBLEM COMES, THEY MUST DIRECTLY INFROM COLLEGE AUTHORITY AND POLICE.

    It is a sign of chage in our society. For traditional parents or close relatives difficult to intake such change.

    In other countries, brothers or parents don't bother once girl or boy reaches maturity age.
