London, Jul 25 (IANS): A 56-year-old Briton, who was dumped by his wife last year, took "revenge" by sawing up the couple's furniture and claimed half of all items, including the bathroom, by writing his name on them.
Kevin Fiore, a former builder from Werrington, Staffordshire, sawed a dressing table in two and slashed a sofa before writing "Kev's half" on the cushions, The Sun reported.
His 39-year-old wife Katrina moved out last year.
The man also smashed up the boiler in the house and the bathroom, and wrote "mine" on tiles and "Kev's half" on the bath.
A court was told Fiore caused around $8,000 worth of damage to the home.
When Fiore was arrested, he told police he had "lost it".
He admitted criminal damage and was given a two-year supervision order by the court.
Th judge termed his act as "a piece of revenge" upon his ex-partner.
