Rakshitha said that only regional parties are the ray of hope in future and not any national parties. She referred to Akhilesh’s triumph in UP and YSR congress party’s rise in neighboring state of Andra Pradesh to concrete her statement. Recalling Ramulu’s walkathon which covered 921 kms in 54 days from Basavakalyana to Bangalore raised issues like pending work of removing of silts accumulated in Thunga Bhadra reservoir which was a major problem of farmers in the region. She stated that in the coming election all 224 candidates will contest in the coming MLA election from the BSR congress party.
To a query on building the party in the district as well as in the state, she said a membership campaign will be initiated at booth levels. To another query regarding Somshekar Reddy and Suresh Babu appearing in the party’s programme, she said that they are welcome to join the BSR Congress party if they wish to. "BSR Congress is a secular party and will be the voice of farmers and the poor," she declared.
To a query on illegal mining mafia, she chose to maintain silence except for saying that nobody is above the law.
