Kundapur, Jul 14: Wilfred Lewis, known among his friends and family as Wilfy Master, was killed in an accident on NH 66 near Aarate junction here on Saturday July 14 at around 1.30 pm.
The accident occured when, while riding his bike on the highway, he tried to avoid a pothole and the bike skid as the road was wet due to rains. He was thrown on to the road and a passing truck ran over him.
The 42-year-old teacher was the owner of Trasi Master Decorators. He belonged to Trasi Christ the King Church in Kundapur. He was also the headmaster at Gangoli Government school.
Wilfred was also the secretary of the Kundapur Zonal Empowerment Committee.
He is survived by his wife Jane Lewis and two children Joshwin and chess prodigy Viola. Jane is a teacher. The late Lucy Lasrado, his mother, was also a teacher by profession. The family earlier resided at Sasthan.
