Goa CM Skips Assembly's First Day


Panjai, Jul 12 (IBNS): All assembly questions for Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar has been postponed till Monday as his son fell ill and had to be rushed to Mumbai Thursday morning.

In his opening remark, Speaker Rajendra Arlekar said the chief minister along with his ailing son took an early morning flight from Goa to Mumbai for medical treatment there.

He said all questions pertaining to Parrikar shall be postponed till Monday.

The 20-day long monsoon session of the Goa Legislative Assembly began today.  Nearly 1800 questions both starred and unstarred questions will be tabled during the session.
