Udupi: Lokayukta Officials Raid RTO Following Public Complaints

Udupi, Jul 9: The Lokayukta on Monday July 9 swooped down on the regional transport office (RTO) to check alleged irregularities in the RTO's functioning.
The Lokayukta officials raided the photocopying centre, vehicles, travelling centre and offices of middlemen to investigate irregularities, if any, following complaints from the public.
The Lokyukta officials of Mangalore and Udupi jointly conducted the raid.
Sources said that the Lokayukta officials led by Jangamaiah confiscated documents and cash.
However, investigations are still on and no clear details are available.
Lokayukta police inspectors Timmayya, B P Dinesh Kumar and others took part in the raid operation.
