Man held with Ammunition Outside Nitish Meeting in Bihar


Patna, Jul 9 (IANS): A man was arrested with six live cartridges Monday in a security check outside a public meeting of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar here, police said.

The man, a resident of Siwan district, around 145 km from here, was also carrying a gun in his vehicle parked outside the 'janata darbar' or public meeting, Patna's Senior Superintendent of Police Amrit Raj told reporters.

"Bihar police chief Abhyanand held a meeting with top police officer after the man was arrested," a police officer said.
