Paris, Jul 7 (IANS/RIA Novosti): Slovakian prodigy Peter Sagan of pro-cycling team Liquigas took his third win on his first Tour de France, holding off Andre Greipel of Lotto-Belisol on a day when World Champion Mark Cavendish of team Sky was again involved in a crash.
The Liquigas rider's sheer pace gave him his third win in five days at the end of a 210-km flat stage in eastern France as Greipel was unable to make it three wins in three days.
Australian rider Matt Goss was third for Oreca GreenEdge.
Fabian Cancellara retains the leader's yellow jersey that he won at Saturday's prologue in Liege, with Britain's Bradley Wiggins and France's Sylvain Chavanel both seven seconds behind.
