Eight People Killed in Jharkhand Road Accident


Ranchi, Jul 6 (IANS): At least eight people from a marriage party were killed and more than 35 were injured in a bus accident in Jharkhand's Bokaro district, police said Friday.

The accident occurred Thursday when the driver of the bus lost control of it while saving a motorcyclist. The bus carrying more than 50 people overturned near Solagidih pond of Bokaro district, around 130 km from here.

Six people died on the spot, while two died later in the hospital. The injured have been admitted in a hospital of Bokaro district. The condition of 12 is critical, police said.
