Team Anna Denied Permission to Protest at Jantar Mantar

New Delhi, Jul 5 (IANS): Delhi Police Thursday denied permission to Team Anna to hold an indefinite fast at Jantar Mantar in the national capital from July 25, citing parliament's monsoon session, during which others also will have to be accommodated for protest.

"We cannot accommodate only Team Anna for their protest at Jantar Mantar. They had asked permission for fast from July 25 till Aug 8, which we cannot give as others will also seek permission to protest as monsoon session will be in progress," said Delhi Police spokesperson Rajan Bhagat.

Team Anna had announced it would hold a protest against the failure of government to enact Jan Lokpal bill.
