Beijing, Jun 29 (IANS): Twenty people were killed and 14 injured Friday in a massive blast triggered by oil that leaked from a truck in south China's Guangdong province, authorities said.
The truck carrying 40 tonnes of gasoline collided with another truck at 4.30 a.m. on the Yanjiang Expressway in the provincial capital Guangzhou, reported Xinhua.
After the crash, oil leaked and triggered an explosion, said the city's Internet information office on its official microblogging site.
The posting said that 20 people were confirmed dead and 14 people were wounded.
The blast set ablaze a timber mill and some work sheds.
Sources said that most of the casualties were workers of the factory.
