Rio de Janeiro, Jun 25 (IANS): The father of Real Madrid playmaker Kaka is reportedly negotiating with Italian football club AC Milan for his son's return to the San Siro.
Bosco Leite had flown to Milan for talks with Rossoneri vice-president Adriano Galliani about signing the 30-year-old, reported Xinhua.
According to Brazil O Globo newspaper, Kaka's family has maintained close ties with the Serie A outfit since the star's departure in 2009.
The report added that Real Madrid's hierarchy had given its consent for negotiations.
The talks appear to signal an about-turn by Milan officials, who last week ruled out the prospect of signing the Brazil international due to his "prohibitive" price.
Kaka, voted FIFA world player of the year in 2007, struggled for a regular starting berth for Real under Jose Mourinho last season.
He managed eight goals from 39 appearances in all competitions.
