Bengali Singer Nachiketa launches his book


Kolkata, June 22 (IBNS): Veteran Bengali writer Shirshendu Mukhopadhyay released Bengali singer-composer Nachiketa Chakraborty’s new book titled ‘Notun Nachiketa Omnibus’ in Kolkata on Thursday.
 
The book contains two novels, six features, few stories and songs.
 
Nachiketa said: “I am very much influenced by Shirshendu da’s writing. From my childhood days I have been reading his stories and novels. It is my pleasure that today he is here with me at my book launch.”
 
Mukhopadhyay, said: “I am a big fan of Nachiketa. He is extremely talented and I would love to praise his writing abilities. His writings seemed so experienced and well-written.”
 
Bengali filmmaker Srijit Mukherji, who was present at the event, said: “My childhood passed reading Shirshendu Mukhopadhyay and my adolescent passed listening to Nahiketa’s music. So, for me it is a great pleasure to be here at the launch.”
 
Bengali thriller writer Anish Deb was also present at the event.
 
Nachiketa mentioned that is was mainly due to Deb’s insistence that his book was published.
 
“Anish da was the one who praised me so much and insisted me for publishing my book,” he said.
 
Nachiketa also performed few of his songs at the event.
