President awards Sanskrit, Persian, Arabic, Pali scholars


New Delhi, June 19 (IBNS) Indian President Pratibha Devisingh Patil on Tuesday conferred Certificates of  Honour to scholars of Sanskrit, Sanskrit (International), Persian, Arabic languages and Pali/Prakrit.

The awards are announced once a year on Independence Day in recognition of substantial contribution in the field of Sanskrit, Persian, Arabic and Pali/Prakrit. 

The following is the list of scholars who were awarded today.  The awards ceremony was for the years 2010 and 2011.
