Bahrain: GVOM Season 3 - Twelve Singers Advance to Semis

Bahrain, Jun 17: The much-anticipated preliminary round for Gulf Voice of Mangalore (GVOM) Season 3 contestants was held in Bahrain on Friday June 15 at Karnataka Social club premises.
As many as 18 aspiring and talented singers from Bahrain lightened up the afternoon with some scintillating performances.
Six singers each from male and female categories were selected by the panel of judges.
Following are the contestants who qualified for the semi-finals round in order of points:

The contest began at 11:30 am by selecting the order of contestants through lots.
Richard Moras of Konkni Kutam welcomed the gathering of more than 150 people. In his speech Richard said that it was indeed a great opportunity for aspiring and budding singers to be able to showcase their talents at such a huge platform.
The singing contest was judged by a panel of well-known and celebrated judges from Bahrain - Swebert Mascarenhas who is a well-known musician from the popular 'Aryan Fame' band and who has played for the top Goan band 'Renegade', Sonia Prabhu who is a popular singer, guitarist and runs her own 'Harmony School of Music' and Richard Pais who is a well-known singer, organizer and past president of Karnataka Social Club.
The winners of the preliminary round were felicitated with roses.
Walter Dantis compered the programme. Henry Almeida proposed the vote of thanks.
Scrumptious lunch from Udupi Palace hotel was served to all.
