Mangalore: TRF Confers Academic Excellence Awards on Young Achievers

Mangalore, Jun 17: Talent Research Foundation (TRF) on Sunday June 17 presented its Talent Academic Excellence Award 2011 at a ceremony held at TRF Conference Hall, Kankanady.
The awards were presented to as many as 18 students from different streams.
The function was inaugurated by U T Khader, MLA, and presided over by Abdul Rauf Puttige, chairman, TRF.
The chief guests present on the dais were Saduddin Salih, district president, NCHRO, Saif Sulthan, Youth Against Dowry, Suleiman Bhai, social worker, Rauf Athoor, Vidhya Kendra Athoor, Haris Suribail, Suribail Dropout School, Haroon Rashid, convener, Shamsh Educational Trust, Siraj Kinya, Al Ameen Dropout School, Kinya and Riyaz Kannur, TRF president.
In his inaugural address, Khader said that such programmes are a gift to society and to the country. "Being born poor is not your fault, but dying poor is," he said.
He urged the students to fulfill their dreams and desires and make their parents proud of their achievements. "It is the responsibility of not only politicians or bureaucrats to make the country strong, but of each and every citizen," he said.
Saduddin Salih advised the students to make time for their hobbies by which can beat stress. He also urged them to bring good name to their parents, family, community and the country.
SSLC, PUC, CET achievers were honoured with the awards. Hamid Kannur welcomed, Saduddin proposed the vote of thanks and Mohammed U B compered.
