Mangalore: Rain Brings Pain - Several Areas Flooded in Heavy Downpour

Mangalore, Jun 17: Heavy rains continued to lash the city on Saturday June 16, lasting all night. The intensity was relatively less on Saturday afternoon, but enough to inundate several low-lying areas in the city.
Areas like Subrahmanya and Suratkal received good rainfall, while in Ullal, Kinnigoli and Mulky it was average.
Artificial floods were witnessed near City Hospital, Jeppinamogeru and Mahakali Padpu areas.
Commuters near Mahakali Padpu and Jeppinamogeru faced tough times with water levels on the roads reaching knee-high.
Udupi: Heavy down pour occurred in many areas of the district. Good rainfall was recorded in Kundapur in the evening of Saturday, so also in Karkala.
