Dubai: Spectacular 'Thrijanma Moksha' by Yaksha Mitraru Wows Audience

Dubai, Jun 12: Yaksha Mitraru yet again succeeded in presenting a colourful and one of the most spectacular Kannada Yakshagana shows in this part of the world. Indeed, the awe-inspiring show had the audience spellbound, thanks to a splendid and thoroughly professional presentation by amateur artistes of UAE with the able support of a few guest artistes from Mangalore.
'Thrijanma Moksha' was at par with any other professional Yakshagana ‘Mela’ of the coastal district. The attractive lights and colours of a highly creative stage, the mesmerizing sounds of the ‘Chende’ and most importantly, a completely committed andprofessional display of the talents by all the artistes was the real hallmark of the evening filled with gusto and glamour.
A wonderfully erected ‘Vaikunta’ at the left, the palace of Hiranyakashipu at the right and the usual stage at the centre were highly impressive and received big rounds of applauds from the audience as the curtains went up. A true magic with lights and colours.
The event began with the invocation of Lord Ganesha and Kateel’s Shree Bhramarambhika. The programme was formally inaugurated by lighting of traditional lamp. Sarvotham Shetty, in his unique compering style, kicked-off the stage event and welcomed chief guests, artistes and the Yakshagana lovers. Kalathur Shekhar Shetty, Harish Sherigar, Praveen Shetty, Sathish Poojari, C R Shetty, Girish Shetty, Daya Kirodian and Chidanand Poojari were on stage and lit the traditional lamp. Guests artistes from Mangalore-Delanthamajal Subrahmanya Bhat, the acclaimed ‘Chende’ percussionist was honoured on this occasion with ‘Yakshagana Kala Praveena’ title.
During the interval, other guest artistes from Mangalore-Sathish Shetty Patla, P V Paramesh, Gangadhar D Shettigar, Chandrashekhar Banari were honoured. A special honour was also given to the artiste couple of Dony and Asha Correa. All received bouquets, fruit baskets and citation.
Yaksha Mitraru kept the audience in trance with melodious Bhagavithige by the renowned singer Sathish Shetty Patla supported by Chende by Delanthamajal Subrahmanya Bhat, Venkatesh Shastri, Madhoor Lakshminarayan , Krishnaprasad Bhat, Shruthi by Jagannath Bellare, Chakrataala by Rajesh Kuthar, most notably by great dancing and acting skills by local and guest artistes.
Yaksha Mitraru UAE Dubai yet again proved that they are a truly professional troupe and are highly committed towards this art from the coastal Karnataka districts. They were also successful in presenting 'Thrijanma Moksha' in this part of the world with the local artistes supported by artistes from Mangalore.
