Mexico, Jun 8 (IANS/RIA Novosti): At least 16 teenagers were killed and 32 injured after their bus plunged 120 meters into a ravine in the northwest of Bolivia, Nuevo Herald daily reported Friday.
The bus carrying schoolchildren between 16 and 18 years of age was heading for an athletic event. According to one of the survivors, the bus driver lost control when he swerved to avoid a collision with an oncoming vehicle.
Rescuers are still working to clear debris at the scene and say the toll may rise.
