Bangalore: IT Officials Raid BJP MLA C T Ravi's Residence, Farmhouse

Bangalore, Jun 8: Income tax department officials on Friday June 8 raided the residence of BJP MLA from Chikmagalur and party spokesperson C T Ravi.
The officials also raided Ravi's farmhouse in Alenahalli in Chikmagalur and scrutinized documents.
The details and findings of the raid are yet to be revealed. Three senior IT officials are part of the raid, it is learnt, and there are four teams conducting the raid.
It may be recalled that in the last week of May, a disproportionate assests case was filed against Ravi in the Lokayukta court. The case was filed by social activist A C Kumar, who claimed that in 2004 assembly elections, Ravi's declared assets amounted to Rs 10.1 lac, with an annual income of Rs 1.20 lac. In 2008, he had declared the his annual income at Rs 18.9 lac and total assets at Rs 92.95 lac. His assets now stand at Rs 50 crore.
C T Ravi was earlier given a clean chit by the Lokayukta court in a land denotification case.
On Friday, the IT officials also raided the residence of Chikmagalur taluk panchayat former president Kanakaraju and the farmhouse of BJP leader Sudarshan and residences of close aides of C T Ravi Keshavaraju and Kote Anil.
