People Disappointed with BJP: Advani

New Delhi, May 31 (PTI): BJP leader L K Advani today admitted that people were "disappointed" with the party and appeared to be hitting out at party chief Nitin Gadkari as he said the campaign against corruption had been hurt due to induction of an ousted BSP leader facing graft charges.

He said the BJP had not risen to the occasion at a time when there was anger against the UPA government over various scams.

"If people are today angry with the UPA government, they are also disappointed with us.  The situation ...calls for introspection," the BJP veteran wrote in his blog, the first on organisational affairs after the party's National Executive where the differences between leaders was in focus.

"... when these days media-persons attack the UPA government for its string of scams, but at the same time regret that the BJP led NDA is not rising to the occasion, I as a former pressman myself, feel they are reflecting public opinion correctly," he said.

Observing that the mood within the party "these days is not upbeat", he said,  "The results in Uttar Pradesh (assembly polls), the manner in which the party welcomed BSP Ministers who were removed by Mayawati ji on charges of corruption, the party’s handling of Jharkhand and Karnataka – all these events have undermined the party’s campaign against corruption."

The criticism with regard to welcoming of BSP Minister Babu Singh Kushwaha, an accused in NRHM scam, appears to be a reference to Gadkari who was instrumental in the induction before the controversy forced Kushwaha to distance himself from the party.

He noted that the BJP has a  sizable contingent of MPs in Parliament as against the niggardly two seats in 1984, that the party's performance in the two Houses of Parliament under Sushma Swaraj and Arun Jaitley has been "excellent" and the party is in power in as many as nine states today.

But, he quickened to add that this "is no compensation for the lapses committed".

At the same time,Advani doesn't have moral right to point out N.Gadkari who didn't demolish Babri Masjid and divided India.Gadkari did not go to Pakistan and praised Mohd Ali Jinnah like Advani.Very sorry Sir..Please take rest.

One has to appreciate Mr. L.K. Advaniji for "Accepting the Bitter Truth" of his party supporting the manner in which the Barath Bandh was organized and the valuable "TIME" lost.
He has already lost his ambition to become the P.M of this country in the previous 2009 Lok sabha Elections (mainly because of the so called "India Shining"!!! campaign)
Off late he is been cornered by his own partymen for internal leadership rift.
Finally some 'concrete and sensible words" from the out going P.M material of the BJP.
If Babarie Masjid and Rath Yathra's couldn't give him a chance to become the P.M., so where is the present situation he can even think of in his wildest dreams!!!

BJP's biggest thug is Purshottam Rupala, most corrupt and right hand of Narendra Modi. Rupala as a closest to CM Modi became Gujarat State Party president and spoiled entire party by selling party tickets to his builder, diamond merchant and land broker agents. Modi appointed Rupala to fight against Keshubhai Patel loyalist, but instead Rupala also destroyed entire BJP gujarat Sangathan, Today Gujarat BJP does not have root level party workers to connect direct with common people, still Gujarat loves Modi and he may get repeated as a CM in 2012 assembly elections.

But Modi is loosing ground and if not waken on time, Corrupt Rupala and his thugs will destroy Modi's image and finish Modi magic from the grass root level in Gujarat. Keshubhai is too old and only being instrumental for Pravin Togadiya Gordhan Zadafiya and now for those in Delhi who want to Finish Modi's PM aspirations from Gujarat itself. But everyone must understand, including Modi that MODI with Gujarat BJP is on the path of self destruction with Rupala having power to sell party tickets to his thug money collectors, and entire crores of rupees are going to Rupala's black accounts, Rupala has multiple motels in California.

Certain Issues in BJP angered and disappointed LK Advani are as below.

    1) Joshy was bullied by Modi and BJP, instead of supporting, forced to quit from the BJP National utive Meeting to enable last minute entry of MODI

    2) BSY was regarded as PERSONA-NON-GRATA by Advani and Team in BJP but in the last minute development, he was asked to participate the utive meeting which was a insult and jolt to Advani's principle/self respect

3)Advani had an ambition to become PM of the country, however, last minute induction of Yeddi and Modi to the national utive meeting of BJP in Mumbai by compromising SAIDANTHINKA PRINCIPLES angered LKA and Sushma plus.

4)Advani did not wish to make change in the constitution/by-law of BJP with regarding to the term of the BJP president tenure but however,RSS interference it went through which once again smeared salt on the wounds which culminated in appointing Gadkeri for second consecutive time.

Apart from that, Rajasatan,Guj and Karnataka's turmoil in party admin made sick and tired. What Adavani Commented is sensible and timely.
