Pakistani Soldier's Body Recovered in Siachen


Islamabad, May 27 (IANS): The body of one of the Pakistani soldiers buried in the Siachen glacier following a massive avalanche last month has been recovered, Geo News reported early Sunday.

According to sources, rescue operation was on to recover other bodies.

On April 7, a total of 138 Pakistani soldiers and civilians were buried in Siachen's Gayari sector after a military camp was hit by a massive avalanche.

Pakistani personnel and experts from Germany and Switzerland launched search and rescue operations following the incident.
