Indian Boy Solves 350-year Newton Math Puzzle

London, May 26 (IANS): A 16-year-old Indian origin schoolboy in Germany has managed to crack puzzles that baffled the world of maths for more than 350 years, it was reported here Saturday.

Shouryya Ray, from Dresden, has been hailed a genius after working out the problems set by Sir Isaac Newton.

Ray solved two fundamental particle dynamics theories which physicists have previously been able to calculate only by using powerful computers, Daily Mail reported.

His solutions mean that scientists can now calculate the flight path of a thrown ball and then predict how it will hit and bounce off a wall.

Ray only came across the problems during a school trip to Dresden University where professors claimed they were uncrackable, the newspaper said.

"I just asked myself, 'Why not?'," explained Ray.

"I didn't believe there couldn't be a solution," he added.

Ray began solving complicated equations as a six-year-old but says he's no genius.

After arriving from Kolkata four years ago without knowing any German, Shouryya is now fluent in the language.

His intelligence was quickly noted in class and he was pushed up two years in school - he is currently sitting his exams early, the Mail said.

God Almighty has blessed India with bountiful resources, whether it is natural resources, intelligence, languages, art & culture, science, economy, social structure, moral values, customs and traditions the list is endless. Hence, it is a country where we enjoy unity in diversity.

Only menace is our country is infested with corruption and corrupt politicians. Democracy has lost its meaning as the government is of the rich, by the rich and for the rich.

In order to get a job for a chaprasi post in any good company, one needs to have minimum education and to pass the interviews, but there are so many unpad (illiterate) politicians in the country who win elections with money power and goodagardi.

With this kind of political structure and system, how can we see India emerging as a developed country with international standard infrastructure, education, healthcare, housing etc., within the reach of a common man. We can only dream about it, unless the common man shows his real strength to those politicians and bureaucrats who breath only money..money..money and power.

Congratulations to Shouryya and May God bless you for reaching greater heights in your future endeavour.

India is no doubt a great country. Indian ancient culture is no doubt very very good. What is lacking that we are not aware of and we are not ready to understand the magic in this culture. The land of luv and beauty. Its map is even too beautiful. Land of diversities in vegetation, flora n fauna, landscape, culture, languages, religion, food, clothes etc etc.
But yeah we don't need reason to luv it...luv u india...

The Kumbh Mela is a huge Hindu religious festival that takes place in India every 12 years. In 2001, 60 million people attended, breaking the record for the world’s biggest gathering. The mass of people was photographed from space by a satellite.
