Guerrillas Loot Weapons from Kashmir Security Picket


Srinagar, May 25 (IANS): Suspected guerrillas snatched and escaped with four rifles from a security picket in south Kashmir Pulwama district, police said.

According to police, the attacking guerrillas snatched three self-loading rifles (SLR) and one INSAS rifle from a security picket late Thursday at Arigam village of south Kashmir's Pulwama district, about 28 km from here.

"The security picket had been set up to guard the Kashmiri Pandit families living in the village. Following the incident, the guards at the picket have been suspended and arrested for interrogation," a senior police officer said here.
