Drunk Father Stabs Son to Death

Lucknow, May 24 (IANS): In a shocking incident late Wednesday, a 40-year-old man knifed his 20-year-old son for asking him not to be abusive.

Police said the incident took place at Banthara village, when an inebriated Prakash reached his home after work and had a brief altercation with his son Sailakh.

Sailakh, who was a labourer, objected to his father's habit of drinking liquor and protested the use of foul language. Enraged at this, Prakash took out a knife and stabbed his son many times.

The son died on the spot due to serious intestinal injuries and excessive blood loss, police said.

Police are on a lookout for the assailant father as he is absconding.

Raids are being conducted at all possible hide outs of Prakash, including his work place. He would be arrested soon, police official Sarvesh Kumar Mishra told IANS.
