Mumbai, May11: The 47th branch of Bharat Co-operative Bank (Mumbai) Limited, a multi-state scheduled bank, will be inaugurated at Kaveri Heights building, Kalwa (West), on Friday May 11.
Jaya C Suvarna, director and former chairman, Bharat Bank, will inaugurate the new branch on Friday morning.
“Bharat Bank chairman V R Kotian will inaugurate the ATM kiosk. Deputy chairperson lawyer Rohini J Salian will inaugurate the safe locker facility. Senior director Pushpalata N Salian will inaugurate the banking services,” stated CEO C R Mulky.
Bharat Bank is one of India’s most customer-friendly banks which announced the audited accounts for the year 2011–12. The bank has achieved a total business of Rs 6,825.26 crore from Rs 5,509.13 crore, an increase of 23.89 percent. The deposits rose from Rs 3,196.14 crore to Rs 4,000.79, an increase of 25.18 percent. The advances rose from Rs 2,312.99 crore to Rs 2,624.47 crore, an increase of 22.11 percent and earned a net profit of Rs 100.15 crore from Rs 80.14 crore, an increase of 24.97 percent. The net profit increased from Rs 47.99 crore to Rs 65.18 crore, an increase of 35.82 percent. Non-performing assets were nil.
The bank will be launching a ‘Visa International’ debit card shortly. It has opened 10 new branches, 14 onsite ATMs, and shifted four branches to new spacious premises.
