Hyderabad, May 8 : Welcome to the match between Hyderabad and Punjab. The hosts are coming off a shock loss to Bangalore and will certainly be a little jaded. Sangakkara and his men cannot make it to the qualifiers now and they will do well to motivate themselves to win. On the other hand, Hyderabad can now play freely and can execute some fearless cricket. Punjab have had quite a roller coaster of a tournament so far with highs and lows in almost an equal measure. Hussey has led his side quite well so far, but he too will be hopeful of Gilchrist returning to the playing eleven. That addition will certainly give Punjab a boost to the side, as far as the opening slot and leadership is concerned. The match should be an exciting affair with one gunning for glory and the other looking to salvage some pride.
Deccan Chargers have won the toss and elected to field
Sangakkara: Ya we are looking to turn things around and start winning. We have played well but have failed to deliver at the crunch situations. I think we were in a position to be about seven places up but we haven't fielded well enough. We have batted and bowled well but in tough situations the fielding matters and we have let ourselves down there. The deck looks like it will stay the same throughout. The par score is 150-160 so if we restrict them to anything below that, it will be great. We just need to trust what we are doing. Rusty Theron comes in.
David Hussey: I am enjoying the role as a captain. Gilly was desperate to play tonight but the physio ruled him out. He should play the next fixture. We have got to do the hard yards and we need to win the next four. We would have batted first anyway. David Miller comes in for Ryan Harris, Sid Chitnis comes in and so does Ramesh Powar.
