Amman, May 8 (IANS): Jordan's King Abdullah II has said that the country's parliamentary elections will be held before the end of this year, official Petra news agency reported.
During a meeting with Lower House members, the king said that the country will go ahead with reforms without any hesitation, Xinhua reported Monday.
"We are working seriously to ensure the parliamentary elections to be held before the end of this year," he said.
The country's Lower House Speaker Abdul Karim Dughmi said the 120-member house will endorse the laws of election and political parties during the session, which will end in two months.
