Beijing, May 3 (IANS): Continuous torrential rain in an eastern Chinese province has killed four people and affected more than 540,000, the government said.
Till Wednesday, over 18,000 residents in Jiangxi province, who were threatened by floods, were relocated, Xinhua reported.
Around 543,000 residents in 34 counties have been affected, and 33,900 hectares of crops damaged, the provincial government said. More than 5,700 houses have been toppled.
