Mumbai: Swami Yoganand Saraswati To Tour City from May 1

Mumbai, Apr 24: “Swami Yoganand Saraswati of Nityanand Yogashram, Kondevoor, Dakshina Kannada district of Karnataka, will be on a tour of the metro from Tuesday May 1 to Thursday May 3,” said Dharmapal U Devadiga, president, Nityanand Yogashram Samiti, Mumbai.

He was speaking at an extraordinary meeting of Nityanand Yogashram Samiti, Mumbai, which was held at Billawar Bhavan auditorium, Santa Cruz (East), on Sunday April 22.

Devadiga shared information on the proposed ‘Maha Yajna’ that will be held in 2013 to observe the 50th death anniversary of Nityanand Swami, besides the ‘Bhoodan’ project planned in this regard.

He added that Swami Yoganand Saraswati will bless the devotees in the public meeting scheduled to be held on Wednesday May 2.

Nityanand Yogashram Samiti, Mumbai, honorary president Rohidas Bangera , vice-president K P Arvind, and Vishwanath U Mada were present on the dais.

The metro-based Bhandary Seva Sangh president Balakrishna P Bhandary and honorary chief secretary Nityanand D Kotian explained the programmes proposed by Swami Yoganand Saraswati. Treasurer Harish Chevar explained the programmes that will be held during the Swami’s metro tour.

Joint secretary Narayan Urwa proposed the vote of thanks.

Devadiga Sangh Mumbai president Hiriyadka Mohandas, former president K K Mohandas, Kulala Sudharaka Sangh Mumbai president P K Salian, Karnataka Vishwakarma Association Mumbai president Nitte Damodar Acharya, former president G T Acharya, Thiya Samaj Mumbai president K Narayan, Kalwa Friends president Jayaprakash Shetty, and religious leaders were present on the occasion.
