Moscow, Apr 6 (IANS): Russia's flagship Aeroflot airline and the Russian Football Union signed an agreement to send Russian soccer fans to Euro 2012 free of charge in June.
According to the agreement, Aeroflot will lay on free flights from Moscow to Warsaw and back June 7 and June 17, as well as discounted prices on more flights, reported Xinhua.
The airline said the free flights and discounts might be rescheduled according to the Russian team's performance in the group games.
Russian Football Union chief Sergey Fursenko told press that the supporters union of the Russian national team will choose fans to allot free tickets.
Euro 2012 football championship, to take place from June 8 to July 1, 2012, will be co-hosted by two countries' eight cities. The matches will be played in Poland's Warsaw, Wroclaw, Poznan, Gdansk and Ukraine's Kiev, Lvov, Kharkov and Donetsk.
Russia's group games are in Poland June 8 against the Czech Republic, June 12 against the host nation Poland and June 16 against Greece.
