Kolkata, Apr 1 (IANS): Indian women's cricket captain Anjum Chopra is excited at being given the opportunity to train with the Indian Premier League franchisee Kolkata Knight Riders and says she will root for the team in the coming tournament.
"It was a great experience training with the KKR team. I got several tips from (mental skills coach) Rudy Webster," Chopra said at the Eden Gardens here.
"They are also my favourite team. It was an enjoyable session here for the last two days. I will be rooting for the KKR this time too," she said.
Chopra was speaking to media persons after beginning shooting of a fitness DVD at the Eden. Over the weekend, she spent time with various members of the support staff in a bid to compile the best practices of sports training and fitness.
"For the cricketers in England and Australia fitness is a way of life. Not for us. So I hope this video will give them an insight on how to remain fit. It is meant for all women sportspersons.
"In most of the videos they talk about remaining fit without getting into the details of how to cover that road. I hope my efforts will fill that void," she said.
The DVD is an initiative for India Sports Books.
