New Delhi, March 7 (IANS): India pacer Ashok Dinda feels that changing his bowling style has helped him improve immensely during the season when he emerged as the top bowler picking picking up 59 first-class wickets.

A sensational form for Bengal in the domestic circuit earned Dinda, who has played five ODI, a national recall for the Asia Cup.

The Bengal pacer gave credit to former Indian bowling coach Eric Simons for his improvement.

"Eric Simons showed me how to do by bowling at a single wicket. It has helped me a lot. I have worked hard to change my length and try to bowl as full as possible," said Dinda after his match winning performance against Madhya Pradesh in the Vijay Hazare Trophy here Tuesday.

Dinda bowled with great pace on a slow pitch at the Palam Ground and was announced man of the match for his five-wicket haul.

Dinda said that changing his run-up and jump had helped to become a more accurate bowler.

"I have changed my run-up and jump, that has helped my accuracy. I have worked very hard and done a lot of practice," he said.

The pacer said that former India captain and senior Bengal team mate Sourav Ganguly have always been a source of inspiration. Dinda also said Ganguly, also a Pune Warriors captain, facilitated his move to the Sahara owned franchise in the Indian Premier League (IPL).

"Dada (Ganguly) has always backed me, I feel motivated when such a big guy talks to me. Dada wanted me in Pune and I will not disappoint him," said Dinda.
